On behalf of the citizens of Garage Logic, Minnesota (we're the fastest growing city in Minnesota), I'd like to invite you to visit us. Hi. I'm Joe Soucheray, Mayor of Garage Logic. Actually, the only mayor G.L. has ever had (although that rapscallion, Patrick Reusse made an unsuccessful bid to unseat me in the last election).

Garage Logic is the seat of Gumption County, down the road from Diversityville, but not as far as Liberal Lakes. It's a place where common sense prevails, the 2-car garage is revered and cigar smoking is allowed (and lawyers aren't).

When you visit G.L., you'll be greeted with the melodic harmonies of power tools at work and the sweet, aromatic blend of cigars and motor oil. For recreation, you can tee it up on Creature Path(TM) golf course, go fishing in Spoon Lake, or catch a Fighting Stogies game at the University of Garage Logic (where you can also enroll in a course on personal responsibility).

I could go on and on, but a new shipment of Titanium Moly Bolts just came in at The Knack hardware store and I gotta run over and check 'em out. Stop by for a visit. If the guiding principles of Garage Logic appeal to you - and they will - you may want to tie the lawn mower on the back of your Harley and take up permanent residence.

Welcome
Garage Logicians,
Joe Soucheray
Mayor, Garage Logic USA
rookie
Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Matthew Michalski a.k.a. “The Rookie” graduated from Nativity Grade School in 1983 and Cretin High School in 1987. After two years of academic probation at the University of Minnesota (go ahead and check), Matthew packed it in and headed for Brown Institute. After 18 months, he earned a degree in Radio and Television Applied Sciences (well, he finally applied himself).

Matthew, who earned the name “The Rookie” from Patrick Reusse (the official nickname giver at AM1500 KSTP), held several colorful jobs before he came to AM1500. These jobs included movie theatre projectionist, WWA wrestling announcer, bicycle helmet salesman, clown, Ninja Turtle entertainer at birthday parties and snowplow operator.

The Rookie has produced Jesse Ventura’s morning show (prior to his being elected Minnesota’s Governor), Bear Facts & Fish Tales, and The Home & Garden Show, all heard on AM1500 KSTP.

He has produced Saturday Morning SportsTalk, starring Joe Soucheray and Patrick Reusse (aired Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon) since 1991 and has been the producer of Joe Soucheray’s Garage Logic (aired weekdays from 3:00-6:00 p.m.) since 1996.

Matthew, his high school sweetheart bride, and their four children live in St. Paul.

AM1500 KSTP is an Equal Opportunity Employer
AM1500 KSTP, The Talk Station serving the Twin Cities, set the standard for "talk radio" in Minnesota. Originally launched in the late-1920's, KSTP-AM 1500 is the flagship of family-owned, and now third generation-managed Hubbard Broadcasting. Our on-air Personalities present lively talk shows which are timely to the day's current events and exclusively targeted to the Twin Cities. Topics run from neighborhood schools to statehouse politics; from our major league sports teams to parental behavior at youth sports contest; from the price of heating our homes to the hottest prime-time television programs.
